Documents must be submitted in PDF format only. (No images, snapshots, HEIC files, etc. will be accepted, due to software incompatibility among those reviewing applications on their individual computers. All files must be labeled with the student's name and document:

Ideally, these PDF documents would be combined together to make ONE file for the entire application, instead of multiple files. Multiple files, properly labeled, will be accepted if combining them is not possible.

Condition of Payment:

Scholarship will be awarded upon completion of the first semester of school. Proof must be given by submitting a transcript from your college. Failure to successfully complete the first semester will forfeit the right to receive the scholarship.

• Student must be a graduating senior at Gloucester High School.
• Transcript of Grades
• Financial need form
• Specifically: Proof of acceptance at an institute of higher education.
• A typewritten, double-spaced essay answering the following questions.

1. Why do you feel that you are the best candidate for this scholarship?
2. What community service activities have you been involved with in your 4 years of high school? Approximately how many hours have you dedicated to community service weekly each year?
3. During your Gloucester High School experience what was your greatest achievement and largest disappointment?
4. What are your financial needs to be able to continue your education?

TEACHING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

• Student must be a graduating senior at Gloucester High School.
• Transcript of Grades
• Financial need form
• Specifically: Proof of acceptance at an institute of higher education to study teaching.
• A typewritten, double-spaced essay answering the following questions.

1. Why do you feel that you are the best candidate for this scholarship?
2. What community service activities have you been involved with in your 4 years of high school? Approximately how many hours have you dedicated to community service weekly each year?
3. During your Gloucester High School experience what was your greatest achievement and largest disappointment?
4. What are your financial needs to be able to continue your education?

 

• Student must be a graduating senior at Gloucester High School.

• Specifically: Proof of acceptance at an institute of higher education or technical institute or proof of completion of a six-months apprenticeship in the trades.
• A typewritten, double-spaced essay answering the following questions.

1. Why do you feel that you are the best candidate for this scholarship?
2. What community service activities have you been involved with in your 4 years of high school? Approximately how many hours have you dedicated to community service weekly each year?
3. During your Gloucester High School experience what was your greatest achievement and largest disappointment?
4. What are your financial needs to be able to continue your education?

Amount: $750.00

• Student must be a graduating senior at Gloucester High School.
• Transcript of Grades
• Financial need form
• Specifically: Proof of acceptance in an institute of higher education in the eventual study of Dentistry, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or Optometry. It is hoped that the student being awarded the scholarship will return to the Cape Ann area to practice his or her field once their education is completed.
• A typewritten, double-spaced essay answering the following questions.

1. Why do you feel that you are the best candidate for this scholarship?
2. What community service activities have you been involved with in your 4 years of high school? Approximately how many hours have you dedicated to community service weekly each year?
3. During your Gloucester High School experience what was your greatest achievement and largest disappointment?
4. What are your financial needs to be able to continue your education?
